Letter 745
Got a little room here to type so will just say I am working a lot in the next few days and then heading to Wisconsin to see family and contribute for a second year my sister's tradition of making cookies and candies for Christmas gifting. It's a huge process and they tolerate my demands in the kitchen. We eat good, try to stay warm and try to have some laughs at life. I'll try to post some pix while there on this and Don continues to mail letters whether I am there or here so Lucky You! Thanks for reading.
More voting shenanigans:
The town of Newport OR, BigFoot Country. Yakima Bridge in the background. Whale watching in August is a bust!
The Bridge the woman dropped her autistic child from:
Letter 744
I am just resigning myself to the fact that I will never catch up to the letters Donnie sends me. Another one, number 754 arrived today. This won't stop until one of us dies or forgets how to type. Our Dad had a typewriter that was black, heavy and weighted with metal. The keys would bang-tap against many a wounded piece of parchment under his strong armed-hand when he felt the need to get an idea across to some person of interest in his life that needed some chiding. Better them than me I would ponder. Always thought he would've been thrilled to see how absolutely easy it is to get an idea across with a standard computer keyboard but alas, it was not to be so. His last letters of wisdom were hand-written as the strength needed to pound out those tomes seemed easier delivered tiny & hand-scrawled. Old habits die hard (and apparently are genetic), and new ones sometimes harder to get a grasp of as we certainly see the wonders (and disappointments) that this increased/ing Age of Digitization pushes us ever forward into.
I digress...or wordily meander...or pontificate...
Envelope 744 with Packer color markings:
It pains me to look at this couple but I like the Smudge Mark on the Guv. Makes me relieved to be a proud constituent of Jerry Brown (& Nancy Pelosi's) I tell ya! Hahahah.
Don obviously does NOT LIKE idiot lights!
I gotta hand it to my brother; he reads his newspapers.

Oh; and the low wages that go with Governor Walker's State:

Don votes (and so should YOU!) and writes in someone else for a person nobody likes, football, and Don's bald spot vs. that governor from Wisconsin's:

Letter 742
This is a pretty good letter with Don counting people for his son. World Series trivia (he wanted the Royals to win I am thinking). News article about Zombie Pub Crawl Santa crashing at the wrong home and scaring the children inside. Hahahha!
Oh, and some serial killer news. (Don was a Prison Guard after all).
Letter 741
So here's letter 741.
Have 751/752 nearby yet unread.
Don talks about his Big Bowling Score &
Mary's devotion to Gourds
Also, Mary loves her cats.
Or they love her.
Or both.

Letter 740
Well just when I thought I was catching up with Donnie's letters, 3 more arrived yesterday. Today two more came so with this posting we will still be ten (10) letters behind. Don continues with a long letter with bowling statistics and more pics from New Orleans:
Hahah and I think they punked Don at St. Vinnie's by telling him that everyone thought he had quit. That's funny!
Don bowls an amazing game!
That is for all you Ned Yost fans I presume.

Letter 739
Thugs bug the bus that Bones and Don are on. He reflects on his days breaking up fights at The Prison.
Madison Bumgarner got his wife three (3) goats for a anniversary gift of some such celebration. It must be a thing with country folk.
And he safely arrives back home.
The Packer Fans are in Nawlens!
I think that pic is of Joney on the Poney aka. Joan of Arc.
Letter 738
So the tale of the New Orleans trip continueth.
Don and Bourbon Street don't seem to mix.
oh...this one got cut off a little bitsie. It says: Sunday Morning we took another walk down to Bourbon...
The SuperDome.
Another fabulous photo:

Don returns from New Orleans.
Pic from the inside of the Broke Spoke Bar (with it's Hanging Bras).
Just want to say here that there are ten more letters to scan and post and then I'll be caught up. Who knows what will be in the mail tomorrow though. Hahah. It's like I am trying to catch up on a homework assignment to get to this point. Thank you for reading.
Letter 736
Boy! I am knocking these babies out! Kind of want to get caught up on these so you are all in the know as I am dear readers!
My brother is sweet to respond to my many ponderous questions.
Don, pontificating on Celebrity Chefs.
Letter 735
Just a reminder (to myself really).
A co-worker from Wisconsin was going to be in New Orleans when the Packer-Saints game was happening and was curious about the trip cost. Also I had a question for Don that I mentioned in a letter to him.
Poor McDonald's, always getting that bad rap. A casino is sold.
