Letter 800 (Just for Kicks)

So it looks like I am a month and a half behind in these posts. This letter didn't reveal any unknown secrets that might have been alluded to in the letters that precede it but every once in awhile my curiosity gets the better of me and I just want to see if Donnie has changed any. Hah! Not Likely.
Those poor Packer fans, still smarting from their loss to those damn Seahawks. Not much of a Super Bowl for folks from Wisconsin this year it looks like. Time to look ahead to next year's games it appears and the approaching planting season.
Never thought much of Andrew Jackson but he did do his part in securing America's independence from England it appears. I like it that pirates helped him in the New Orleans area.
No, that isn't a big CheeseHead. It is the Arizona State University "A" on the Mountain in Tempe, AZ.

Envelope 762, 12.04.2014 (the final letter in the batch)

Don and his wife's ways certainly seem paired well with one another. Sheesh, he hasn't even mailed his Christmas cards yet and I am just plugging away at these daily letters. Which is why next we will jump ahead 38 letters to see what letter 800 has to say. Just for kicks. Then we'll get back to the old groove again. Later, -Dan Go

Interesting that Don would include an article on Broadway's magical workshops. Something I found worth reading.

Envelope 762, Letters 12.02-12.03.2014

Don likes National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation movie and Kemps Ice Cream over Roundy's.

Oh, and I guess he REALLY likes Juicy Fruit gum.

 Oil rig stories.

Don's been eating Macs for 42.5 years. Wow! And Mary wants to get him a thermal shirt like one of the officers who came to investigate the semi-driver's death in their backyard.

Can't get away today without a Bible lesson:

And there are still a couple letters to go in this pack. Later.

Envelope 762, 11.29-12.01.2014 letters

Don writes about McDonald's and Thanksgiving:

Don includes an article on how Abraham Lincoln proclaimed the last Thursday of November to be Thanksgiving Day:

Don's wardrobe gets a makeover:
Things no one will ever see Donnie wearing EVER again:

Envelope 762, Letters 11.26 & 11.28.2014

So as you know there are about five letters or so in this batch or about twenty pages so we will get started with the uploads:

Don tires of snow, he shops, he bowls and he gets ready for Thanksgiving Football:
Next we have a word or two about Napoleon's Hat. Wasn't his first name Bonaparte?
Oh, and guess there is a "Throw-back" photo of me that Don snapped when I was thirteen years old and heading to Disneyland for the first time in my(our)lives.

That is the Airing Porch where Mom is wearing Don's black jacket. More pix of his shabby wardrobe to come!

Letter 761

Don wins on Badger 5 (again), Snow articles and a picture from his past.

So this is the first official letter that I haven't read yet since returning from Wisconsin in early December. Although Don couldn't find his way to see me while I was in Wisconsin for eleven days, he did send a packet of letters numbered 762 that contain the letters he wrote while I was there. I will open that packet next and we will have a lot of catching up to do.

Letter 760

November snow in upstate Wisconsin. Don's Badger 5 win. Another prison guard dies.

Letter 758

The dead semi truck driver's truck gets removed from Donnie's back yard. He gets nostalgic about old homes and starts his Christmas cards for 2014 (you will see it eventually).

Letter 757

Don posts articles about McD's, the huge snowfall in Gile, WI, some Packer news and a typical letter.
